The other world has been hovering around me for a long time but is coming into clearer focus in the past few years, a world where my thoughts and actions are led by the heart, where the greatest gratification comes from being of service to others. As a result, I have started to get a small taste of a love that has no opposite.

It feels like decision time is coming, that I am ever so gently being guided by the hand away from my investment in the material, towards a life fully grounded in spirit. Of course there is resistance to letting go of the old. But the process is not foreign to me. If there has been one constant in my life, it has been my conviction in the importance of personal growth and evolution. At university back in 1986, I enthusiastically delivered a Masters Thesis that explored the anatomy of self-overcoming in the writings of Friedrich Nietzsche.

Today I see even more clearly the role of pain, suffering and loss in the growth process. When my consciousness is high I can look at my own suffering as a gift, that has the potential to help being forth growth and positive change. And so when suffering comes upon me I try to resist it as little as possible. I know in traditional Chinese medicine that pain is directly measured as an expression of resistance to the flow of life energy, whether it be physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. I can plainly say that I am very grateful to have experienced what I call the ‘opening of my heart’ as a result of a rather traumatic health crisis that occurred a few years ago.

Still, I recognize the pull to the familiar—rooting for my sports teams, competing against friends in battles of skill, winning debates. This was brought to the fore on a couple of wonderful trips in May that I took to meet friends from way back, where we just picked things up from where we last left off, regaling in tales from the past, rooting for our beloved Montreal Canadiens, and engaging in immersive competition on the golf course.

At a Crossroads?

However, as much fun and joy as it brought to me, I returned home with a touch of melancholy and a heightened sense that I am at a crossroads. I still feel like I have a lot to prove, that I need to justify my unorthodox life path, that I need to organize the massive and interconnected set of ideas in my head about our reality in a way that is of benefit to people. I could feel that my consciousness of the past month had gravitated significantly back to the material, back to duality, and my most recent articles—why certain criminals are not in jail and why free speech is being censored—might be reflective of more of a dualistic mindset than when I started this blog and the Commitment Club.

OK, taking a deep breath.

Perhaps, as I am so prone to remind others, that everything is as it should be. That if I listen to my heart, I will see that my yearnings continue to reach out into the material realm as well as the spiritual. I’ve been told more than once by people well connected to spirit that my mission in this life is to be a bridge, one that helps bring people navigate between the material realm and the spiritual realm. Perhaps I don’t actually have anything to prove to anybody, but only need to be present to my highest thoughts, and be ready to act on them.

Perhaps I can conclude, with hope and optimism in my heart, that I am not so much at a crossroads, having to choose between the spiritual and the material, but rather I need to create and then walk upon a fine line, where my feet continue to touch both the material and the spiritual. Perhaps my focus needs to be continuing to strive towards an inner coherence of my mind, body and spirit, and in doing so, begin to become a light for others that I come across.

Having taken the opportunity to flesh out these particular ideas, I think I’ve answered my own question. Thank you for being here to share it with me.

The reason for these warnings should be clear. Powerful groups that seek to maintain and augment their control over the population are threatened by the ever-growing capacity of ordinary people to speak freely and collectively influence the zeitgeist of the times—the mood, ideas and beliefs that are held by a society. You will recall the telling quote from Sigmund Freud’s nephew Edward Bernays in reference to our democratic societies:

“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. ...We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. ...In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons...who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.”

In this context, we can see how the growing limits on free speech online are little more than attempts by the ruling class to continue their domination over the public mind. Now it could be argued that when Bernays wrote Propaganda in 1928, he believed this ‘relatively small number of people’ were benevolent and were indeed manipulating public opinion in order to ensure a ‘smoothly functioning society’ for everyone.

Certainly, as I have talked about in previous articles, I believe there are forces of light behind the scenes that work to affect the positive flow of human activity. The easiest way to determine whether the forces of light are behind certain trends in society is to see if the origins of these trends are organic in nature are free of force and coercion. This is certainly not the case when it comes to the growing alarmism regarding ‘hate speech.’

Is There More Hate Today?

The ruling class would have us believe that ‘hate’ and the speech promoting hate is more prevalent today than ever. What I have observed is that ‘hate’ has simply become the latest tool in their arsenal to promote division amongst different factions in our society. I believe there is more tolerance now among the general population than ever, and only the increased efforts of the ruling class to foment violence and destruction give the appearance of a populace in crisis.

Way back when, hate speech was never considered a crime. And people for the most part advocated for the moral authority of that timeless phrase,

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me.

Our role models were people like Jackie Robinson, a black man who was the first to break into major league baseball in 1947. This was indeed a time when racial prejudice was an important societal issue, and Jackie Robinson endured innumerable words of hate from fans and opposing players alike. And he was selected to be the first dark-skinned professional baseball player not only because of his talent, but also because of his demeanor. He had the temperament to endure verbal attacks and threats with patience and equanimity. He dedicated himself to taking the moral high ground. And in doing so, he not only showed to society the nobility of his race, he also became a sparkling mirror for people to see their own insecurity and reflect on it.

Speak Freely

Allowing people to speak freely is to allow for the possibility of hatred being transformed into love. Censoring speech that is deemed ‘bad’ or insulting does not turn hatred into love, it suppresses it and transfigures it into a far more grotesque rage. People need to be able to say what’s really on their minds and go through the natural process of experiencing the consequences of their perception. This is how we grow and evolve.

The campaign to demonize certain hues of free speech has been going on for decades now. It doesn’t matter what the content is, whatever they can find that will cause division will be used. I remember before Donald Trump’s first term how White Supremacism and the Klu Klux Klan were dug up from the grave, and suddenly promoted as though it was a major societal issue. In earlier times, their tool of division was prejudice against the black man himself. Today their tool of division is prejudice against the white man. A complete reversal using the same playbook. You can’t make this stuff up.

The point here is to see that divisions in our society are constantly being stoked by the ruling class, whether these things are actual threats or not. More and more people are starting to get wise to this now, and are seeing the pattern. The biggest fear that the ruling class has is that we will be united. United, we will quickly see and uncover the small group of people that has kept us in chains our whole lives, and has prevented us from realizing our true potential.

By 2018, I was convinced that the arrest and prosecution of these men and their accomplices was imminent. My research had revealed enough incriminating evidence, just based on what was in the public domain, to build what I considered an open and shut case.

But here we are 8 years later, and none of these men, nor many of their accomplices, have been incarcerated. It’s not my purpose to lay out all the evidence in this article, or convince you that these particular men are guilty. I’m asking you to just accept for the purposes of my argument here that they are. I think the capacity to stay out of jail is quite systemic amongst the more entrenched members of the ruling class, where occasionally one wayward member is left out to dry to be the scapegoat so that the real power brokers can relieve some of the pressure from the public mind, take some cover and try to make people think that the corrective action has been done.

What I’d really like to explore, since I believe the forces of light are ultimately in charge of the major events that are allowed and not allowed to transpire in our world, is whether there is any positive value in not having these criminals in jail at this time.

Tracing Out the Big Picture

For those who believe that power in the world is only reserved for the evil, that the ruling class is destined to maintain and increase their assault on our freedoms and will continue unabated to a global technocracy that enslaves the majority of humanity, I sympathize with you. I can see how by all appearances that this seems inevitable. But as you all know, appearances can be deceiving.

I’m here to tell you that feeling hopeless and demoralized, based on the threat of world war, growing economic inequality and invasive technologies is really the only weapon the ruling class has at this point. The way you combat evil is to paint your vision of our future with optimism. You can come together with like-minded individuals, form coherent communities like I am attempting to do with my Commitment Club, and begin creating the world of your dreams in your own unique way. Pockets of creative communities of light, operating here and there across the globe, will begin to change everything. And evil forces will shrivel in the light, finding less and less opportunity to plug into our life force and steal our energy.

If you want to distill it down to one word, it is FAITH—faith that we are the ones with the creative ability to write our own history and shape the world to our liking. I’m sure everyone has heard what Jesus said about this, and has contemplated its implications:

If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.

But What About the Criminals?

So this brings us to the subject matter of the day. I was asking about why high-profile criminals are not being arrested. At one level, let’s assume that secret ‘Forces of Light’ (commonly referred to as ‘White Hats’ in the geopolitical realm) have taken control over the situation. They would have met with many of the criminals and revealed the incriminating evidence to them, leading to a backroom deal to switch allegiances. They may be continuing to pretend to be following the Deep State agenda, as a form of protection from their overlords. The likes of Comey and Brennan appear on mainstream media to make rather half-hearted efforts to plead innocence of any wrongdoing—despite them obviously knowing that growing numbers of the population have seen in the public documentation their lies to congress, secret conspiracies like “Crossfire Hurricane” and quizzical social media posts.

Of course, as a researcher, I believe the research must speak for itself. And the behavior and situation of each individual criminal had to be carefully examined and measured. From this data we may conclude that it’s simply powerful obfuscation and interference from the ruling class that keeps preventing arrests. After all, they have their tentacles deeply entrenched within every major power structure on the planet, not the least of which is the judiciary. Or the evidence might suggests that these individuals have actually gone over to the light, at least agreeing to provide information and follow instructions. Much of the discussion amongst followers of the Q movement involved the true nature of many of the political players visible to the public.

If we take things to a deeper level, I believe that these criminals are not in jail as a consequence of the nature of human awakening. First, it is not surprising that many truth-seeking patriots seem to think that unless they start to see arrests soon, their belief in their narrative—that white hats are working for our greatest good and justice will prevail—will begin to wane and eventually die to black pilled poison. In other words, they are in danger of losing their faith. But that is the thing about faith. It is not very powerful if it can be swayed by external events. It loses its power to bring forth miracles. And so, somewhat paradoxically, if we want to prevail, our faith that we will prevail first has to be strong, despite signs to the contrary. This is actually the mechanism of humanity’s rise in consciousness, to go from thinking that we are at the effect of world events to the awareness that we are, collectively, the CAUSE of them.

If we are not having major arrests, if things seem to be taking time and dragging on, it means that in the rhythms of humanity’s great awakening, the time has not yet come for such events. If justice was fully served right now, if the Trump administration began to incarcerate all the criminals of the Deep State, this would not be a catalyst for our awakening. It would surely make us feel that there was nothing left for us to do but get back to our unconscious lives. We would simply transfer our allegiance from one external power to another. We would become those naive ‘true believers’ that Donald Trump and the MAGA movement will take over the planet and make all things right with the world. As I have said before, DJT’s role in this drama is not to be a savior, it is to be a disruptor, one that hopefully shakes all of us to the core.

I believe arrests will come eventually, but only after a critical mass of humanity takes a giant leap of faith in their own power—spurred on by world events that will only get worse and bring us to our collective Dark Night of the Soul. The tension must be great for us to have the will to change, stop seeing ourselves as small and insignificant, and surrender to the true force of light of which we are an integral part. That is the nature of the faith in the Father that Jesus talked about, a faith that is both humble enough to know that on our own we have no power, and wise enough to know that the power is within us, from the force that gives us our very life.

I don’t believe that the real danger that humanity faces today is that evil is destined to conquer good. I think that deep down each of us knows that the light will ultimately prevail, if we can calm our fear-driven minds long enough to access our natural intuition.

As a consequence of this belief, I am not fearful of impending threats of natural disasters; the spectre of nuclear war; the inevitable collapse of our fiat-laden debt-based economic system; or the brutal inhumanity of a very real Satanic power structure I call the ruling class. In essence, I see evil, darkness and negativity as subordinate to the forces of light and love, whose gentle and well-hidden hands rest firmly on the biggest of the cosmic steering wheels.

But that does not mean that I think we’ve got nothing to do. Far from it. I believe that we all have a difficult challenge in front of us. Whether or not we see ourselves as up for the challenge is the real issue here.

The Plight of Humanity

What is the real plight of humanity? I believe it is collective intransigence. Apathy. Laziness. Inaction. Passivity. Resistance. The inability to see our pains and suffering as guideposts for reconciling our own distortions. The unwillingness to go through the discomforts of uncertainty to become more whole.

What is it that many of us are resisting? The lessons we get daily that are essentially designed to help us to evolve. When you decode the messages of Jesus, you see that what he is advocating for is faith—faith that there is an overriding force in our lives that quietly rewards thoughts and actions that serve humanity, and gently reprimands thoughts and actions that serve the ego. It is a force that one can liken to a caring father. And we have to stay connected with and pay attention to this father, if we are to get where we really want to go.

We are actually beings that exist far beyond the limits of the ego and this physical world. We have come here to have a rich and evocative experience—the lessons from which we can bring into the fullness of our multidimensional selves. The big challenge we are faced with is to be willing to CHANGE—our selves, our behavior, and especially our perception. When we change how we see and interpret things, the world before us magically transforms. As Marianne Williamson articulated so wonderfully,

“A miracle is a shift in perception from fear to love—from a belief in what is not real, to faith in that which is.”

How we are to change is different for each one of us. It is not foisted upon us by some external force or power; it is determined by our own inner knowing. The call to change is not sponsored by the evil forces of our world, as part of their plan for enslavement. In actual fact, those forces don’t want us to change, they want us to stay asleep, and continue to be distracted by the Bread and Circus shows they provide. They want us to continue to feel powerless, dependent, and continue to give our responsibilities over to our authorities.

Our will to change is our will for our own liberation. The crossroads are now upon us. There is still a potential future for the human collective of complete enslavement if too few people make an effort to shift upwards. Your participation in this game is now required.

We have armed conflicts raging on in the Ukraine and the Middle East. We have severe economic uncertainty with a debt-based Central Bank Fiat currency system.

We are becoming aware of the tremendous fraud and corruption within our governments and our large corporations that paint a picture of the ruling class as a set of Mafia families, in competition with one another, yes, but essentially aligned on the mission to collectively enslaved the rest of humanity.

Overall, the disconnection between the actions of our leaders and the will of the people has never been more striking. We have never been so aware that the ruling class of our so-called democracies is antagonistic to the well-being of humanity. And this is all happening for one purpose: so that a critical mass of people on the planet find the will and the strength to take matters into their own hands. I’d like to look back in our history a little and talk about a precursor to this moment in time.

The Hippie Movement

I was only seven when Woodstock came and went, but I seem to recall enjoying flashing the peace sign and feeling a bit of fascination for those older kids who embraced the hippie culture. Our conservative next door neighbors, the Marsmons, seemed to be always complaining about the lifestyles of their son, a tall bearded guy in his early twenties who wore bell bottoms and cowboy boots, and their teenage daughter, who had long flowing blond hair and, if memory serves, could occasionally be seen with a flower in her hair.

In retrospect, I believe the hippie movement brought an important cultural shift in the West towards liberalism, elevating personal freedoms and individualism to greater heights than had ever been known. It was grounded in an authentic desire to promote peace on Earth and unchain the free flow of love in our societies.

At the same time, though, it was rather self-indulgent and pleasure-centered. A protest movement of sorts with no practical vision of how to take care of the world’s population. It did not have the vision or the consciousness around how its fundamental principles could uproot the established societal power structures and systems. It did not have the ability to end war, greed, hatred, prejudice or economic inequality. Drug-fueled optimism and the spirit of tolerance were not enough to generate the strength of a collective will for a better world. This is perfectly embodied in the chorus line of the 1971 hit song by rock band Ten Years After:

I'd love to change the world
But I don't know what to do
So I'll leave it up to you

All that said, I don’t believe that the hippie movement was meant to change the world significantly in the early 70s. I believe it was an event that was meant to open our eyes to possibility and undergird the perception of the world for people like myself who lived through it and felt its energy. People in positions of power, now aged in their 60s and 70s, have that memory to build upon as we confront the fact that it is time for the forces of light and love to change the world in the coming years, thoroughly and completely.

And this endeavor is certainly not the sole domain of older people such as myself. This will be a team effort from people of all ages. I believe the younger generation will surprise us older folk with their readiness. The extreme polarization on our planet is serving as our wakeup call, and it’s only going to get worse before it gets better. I believe humanity is getting set to go through a rather dramatic Dark Night of the Soul, a moment where all hope seems lost and only our faith in love and righteousness will see us through.

The difference between now and 1969 is that there is much more awareness among the population that each person on the planet co-creates our world by the way they think, talk and act. Fewer people are waiting for a savior to save us and more people are starting to believe that we, as individuals, can begin to embody Christ Consciousness, and in doing so, become powerful contributors in shedding light on a darkness that has been imbedded in our world for thousands of years.

I invite everyone reading this to consider that you might be a very important part of this process, and your willingness to examine yourself and shed light on your own shadows is the quintessential act of service to humanity. Who is Donald Trump?

Of one thing there can be no doubt. Donald J. Trump is the single most influential public figure on the planet right now. It isn’t even close. His name is on the lips of millions, and is ubiquitous within headlines across the world and in social media posts. While half of the people are lauding him with praise, the other half are heaping scorn. Everyone seems to have an opinion, and Trump appears to be perfectly comfortable with that, in full accord with Oscar Wilde’s famous dictum:

“There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.”

If he wasn’t already enough of a polarizing figure before entering politics, his unpredictable shifts in policy and action between his first and his present term as President and Commander-in-Chief make it virtually impossible for anyone to maintain a neutral opinion of him. In fact, many former supporters have turned completely against him, and vice versa. And, as I often like to say, that is as it should be.

The Disruptor

My belief is that much of what we are seeing from Donald Trump is not to be taken at face value. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I believe that the real ‘game’ on planet Earth, the one that transcends appearances, involves souls coming to the planet who are willing to ‘forget’ who they are and what they are capable of, in order to experience a great awakening to their divine powers, and the realization that our collective thoughts, words and actions are what actually brings the manifested world into being from moment to moment.

The biggest obstacle to awakening is complacency, apathy, and a willingness to endure a life of enslavement at the hands of authorities who don’t have humanity’s best interests at heart. The choice before us now is simple: continue to endure a global economic and political system constructed of whole-cloth deception, where a small ruling class survive as parasites of our life energy, or begin to speak, think and act in ways that bring into being a far more desired world of freedom, equality and love.

Each one of us has a role to play in the exciting creation of this new world. It is up to each individual to look inside, clear away the shadows of fear and determine what their particular role is. Our deepest passions are the signposts to what we came to this planet to do during this time of revealing.

In my mind, Donald Trump’s role is to be a disruptor of the old system. The opposition to his actions coming from the ruling class during his first term, the relentless attempts to get him out of office and into jail, or killed, help to confirm for me that he is not trying to uphold the old system. Some have argued that he is a puppet of Zionism and hold his collaboration with Israel against Iran as evidence. While there might be something to this, I don’t believe this cuts to the deepest levels of this game. All the machinations of the Iran war are not done for the reasons given: nuclear weapons ambitions, negotiations, military strategies. It’s all about bringing down the old system, and trying to get people awakened to what’s really going on so we are prepared for what is coming next.

Some of my research indicates that Trump was put into the presidency by a secret group of 200 generals that has been fighting the ruling class since the JFK assassination, and he is here to preside over the bankruptcy of the United States. For me this idea fits because I believe this entire debt-based fiat currency Central Bank system, the lynchpin for the Satanic control grid we live in, is on the verge of collapse. It is necessary to have someone wielding immense power in the world to ensure that we have a controlled demolition of the old system, to minimize the potential damage to the world’s population.

All this being said, Donald Trump is no savior. He is not the one who will actually usher in a golden age for humanity. His job is to shake things up. And in doing this he fulfills his mission in this game of human awakening. He is not unlike you or I. Everyone reading this has a mission in the game. We all have a part to play. The size and scope of our mission is not what matters. No one’s mission is better than another’s. The only question is whether or not you will choose to fulfil what you came here to do. If humanity does eventually create heaven on Earth, wouldn’t you want to experience being an important part of it?

I’d like to propose something here that is a little more nuanced, and in the process, preserve the free will of each individual to act as they choose—not in a way that makes heaven on Earth impossible, but in a way that actually makes it inevitable. While I can agree in large measure that there are powerful forces of good and evil in a perpetual struggle here on the planet, I’d like to distinguish them between those who want humanity to awaken to their true nature and those who do not. Those who want humanity to awaken are sponsored by love and have no desire for control; those who don’t want humanity to awaken are the ones that have long controlled and limited human perception through deceit, and are driven by fear.

The Bloodline Families

Without getting into too much detail, I would like to propose a large portion of those who do not want humanity to awaken to their true nature are managed by a group of 13 family lines who have been operating on the planet for thousands of years. Leaders of this ruling class have held advanced knowledge about how to hold power over the world’s population, and this power has ebbed and flowed through the various stages of human evolution. With their own members they use a very precise top-down Luciferian system of control, which includes the ritual abuse and traumatization of their own offspring, in order to maintain order and obedience. In return, those members who survive their childhood and go on to thrive as fully functioning psychopaths, free of the restrictions of empathy for other humans (for more see my article on the Cremation of Care), are able to move up this family pyramid of power and gain great wealth and key positions of authority in the world. The single-minded goal of this group is global domination and the enslavement of a significantly reduced human population. And so the reason this group would not want humanity to awaken to its true nature is plain to see: any human who realizes that human thoughts, words and actions are what manifests reality on planet Earth, will no longer live in fear, will not seek external support for their safety or well-being, and thus will not be willing to be controlled by authority. If humanity as a whole awakens to this, then this group loses not only their power, but their very source of life energy.

Decades ago, this ruling class was very well hidden. We did not see their control over our powerful institutions. Most people believed that the governments cared about their citizens, the media was unbiased, and industries followed the rules and regulations. And so, they were able to proceed on their long-held agenda of global domination largely unnoticed. Today, the majority of people know or deeply suspect that our governments are controlled by external forces, our mainstream media serves only to shape an enforced perception, our health care (pharmaceutical) industry is only about profit rather than human health, and powerful corporations and bankers defy rules and regulations at every opportunity.

Is this growing awareness the result of the power of the Internet and social media? To some extent, but we cannot discount the role of a powerful body of people who have always served as a counterbalance to this ruling class. For simplicity’s sake, I will call them the forces of light.

The Forces of Light

The notion that there is a coherent group of people working together for the good of humanity is even more difficult to believe than the idea that there is an evil cabal trying to form a New World Order. The fact is, though, the more research I do, the more telltale signs I find that amidst the drama and chaos of human history, there are always synchronistic events, decisions and actions that seemed to keep us going slowly and safely along the path of awakening.

The forces of light and of darkness are both bound by what Star Trek popularized as the ‘Prime Directive,’ which forbids direct interference in the evolution of humanity. Instead, each group is tasked with luring people more and more into their particular paradigm. In the case of the ruling class, it means tempting people to fall into an egocentric, service-to-self mentality. In the case of the Forces of Light, it means guiding people towards the golden rule and a service-to-others mentality.

The combined impact of each individual’s decision and action is what actually perpetuates the state of the world, as a direct manifestation of our collective consciousness. We are in a time when the darkness and deceit is slowly being revealed, serving to give us more motivation to be part of the salvation of the world. I believe that looking at tumultuous world events through the lens of a struggle between those who want humanity to awaken and those who do not helps us make sense of the many seemingly disconnected events which on the surface defy understanding. In future articles, I will expand upon current events in a way that not only eases our minds that everything is happening as it should, but also that our active participation is needed in order to create the world of our dreams.

Even the CIA could not have imagined how successful the propaganda campaign spearheaded by this catchphrase would be. Drenched with scorn and ridicule towards people who had the audacity to report that powerful people were meeting in secret and enacting strategies to shape public perception and behavior, this campaign seems to have set back human awakening to what is going on behind the scenes several decades. In fact, it seems to have taken humanity over half century to collectively acknowledge that the Warren Commission had one objective: to cover up the complex conspiracy that resulted in JFK’s assassination.

Not to worry, everything in its proper time. I say this despite the fact that there has long been oodles of evidence and information out there concerning most of the popular conspiracy theories (which are, one by one, becoming conspiracy fact), especially since the rise of the Internet. Presidents such as Adams, Roosevelt and even Kennedy clearly warned of the pervasive and negative influence of powerful secret societies.

Let’s be clear. The level at which our thinking and perception is being controlled and manipulated by a small group of powerful people may still be greater than most people are willing to concede. This famous quote from Edward Bernays, nephew of Sigmund Freud, has been in the public domain for nearly a century, and yet only now are its implications penetrating the collective mind.

“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. ...We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. ...In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons...who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.”—Propaganda, 1928

Awakening to the Truth

I believe that the truth about the nature of life on this planet, and who human beings really are, is a complex, multi-layered phenomena that may very well extend beyond the limitations of the human mind. But I don’t say this to discourage you, or to make you feel there is nothing we can do. I actually say this so that we can feel gratitude and wonder for this incredible, immersive experience that is life on planet Earth. And I believe that all the subterfuge and deception by what I call the ruling class is part of the game going on that each of us here on Earth have chosen to be a part of, a game in which we have willfully forgotten the extent of our own powers and abilities in order to experience the joy and rapture of rediscovering them, both through our individual work and through collaboration with those of like mind and energy.

But don’t be misled by life being called a game. What we do and how we behave in our lives is not arbitrary. It matters. Life is continually moving us in the direction of the truth, about ourselves and about the world, and the more we resist the truth in favor of the comfortable yet distorted perceptions that we have been operating under, the more we will suffer. Many people have endured tremendous suffering, until finally it gets to the point that they are willing to surrender and give up their distorted perceptions. It takes work to awaken, and it happens slowly, layer by layer. Life on this planet is no cakewalk.

Our inner awakening to who we really are will eventually lead to us realize how powerful we actually are, and how utterly responsible we are for the quality of our lives. Our outer awakening to what is really going on in the world will eventually lead us to the realization that we are fully at cause, as a collective, for the shape our world is in. The dual challenge before us is to improve the quality of our lives by working on our inner coherence, and to improve the state of the world by working with like-minded people to change it so that it can fulfill our highest visions. Supporting this joint venture for anyone willing to take it on is the mandate of The Commitment Club.

For me, it was an opportunity to notice that, for many people, understanding why I have made a commitment to show up every Saturday morning is not immediately evident, and that is well as it should be. I think that building a group that will grow in light and coherence takes a fair amount of discussion and reflection. The felt experience of safety and mutual acceptance on the part of participants is essential. One of my aims is to model the lost art of listening with curiosity rather than judgment, and I believe it is only when the group has become fully enrobed in this particular garment that people will feel safe enough to disclose thoughts and feelings about things they usually keep hidden—from their darkest fears to their highest hopes.

And so yes, this group may not be for everyone. And it may take some time for the conversation to reach a powerful level of intimacy. So be it. As I have told people already, I am happy to show up and sit by myself for two hours, as long as I am bringing my best self to that moment. As long as I am building my internal coherence of thought, word, and action. When I am in this place in consciousness, anyone who shows up is a gift to me, a spark of the divine who desires to play their part in the awakening of humanity. As a coherent group, we will only be stronger. This brings to mind the wonderful and oft-quoted sentiment of Margaret Mead:

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

Kind of like Seinfeld was ‘a show about nothing,’ The Commitment Club is a group that does not have a particular agenda or necessary action, other than to help each other gain access to their highest passion and vision, and support participants in bringing this vision into reality. The Commitment Club thus can serve as a springboard for individuals of like mind and mission to come together and form a separate group with a particular mandate that invariably makes their lives—and the lives of others—better.

Bringing Light to Darkness

We are in a time when the hidden darkness of our world is rising to the surface, and what has been concealed for the longest of times is slowly being revealed. For decades I have held a belief in this awakening; my transformational coaching website daocoaching.com has had the tagline ‘fostering the awakening of humanity’ since 2003. However, I have never seen as much evidence of this awakening, across so many spheres of life, as I do now.

When I was a journalist in 2018, I went to New York to interview an extraordinary woman named Anneke Lucas. Her story of survival and redemption, after having been a child sex slave in a Belgian pedophile network, was spellbinding. She too believed that humanity was going through a great awakening, and that her story could be a catalyst for it. I full-heartedly agreed with her on this, not only because she had the courage to reveal the dark practices that had been going on in the hidden chambers of the world’s ruling class, but because she has emerged from her ordeal with a free and open heart, after having gone through decades of intense personal and therapeutic work.

Her testimony not only reveals what happened to her, it uncovers a deep understanding of WHY these people do what they do. And that is so valuable for all of us, to go beyond the reflexive tendencies to distance ourselves immediately from these acts and respond with abject rebuke and disgust. It is time for us to ask ourselves how human beings could possibly engage in these kinds of behaviors, and try to take an objective look at how a psychopath actually experiences the world.

Her understanding of the emotional and psychological distortions of these people, themselves rooted in their own systematic childhood trauma, as well as what she has learned about human power dynamics, has allowed her to actually forgive her perpetrators, and show the world that past traumas, no matter how severe, can actually be healed. In broader terms, she believes the way we remedy the imbalance of power in the world is for each individual to heal themselves and in the process stop consenting to give our power away to these people.

While she is now quite well-known, having written a book and been on many podcasts, I was blessed to have been the first person to conduct a full-length interview with her, a 4-hour, 4-part series that has been uploaded to YouTube several times, often garnering several hundreds of thousands of views before being censored and taken down. Fortunately, it has recently been re-uploaded by Collective Evolution, the company I used to work for, and you can watch Part 1 here. Be warned that there is some difficult testimony to sit through, especially in parts 1 and 2. That being said, I feel this interview serves to provide a most profound understanding of the way humanity can move out of the darkness and into the light.

I distinctly remember, in speaking with Anneke off-camera, the hopes we both had that testimonies like hers were going to help foster the awakening of humanity. At that time, though, there was not a lot of support for those hopes. The few short videos that she had done previously were met with much doubt, skepticism and even condemnation. She was still concerned about speaking out and addressing cries from commenters to “name names.” But eight years later, she seems to be ever gaining confidence in her message, and I firmly believe we are now in the midst of the collective awakening we were hoping for. In truth, The Commitment Club owes some of its foundational tenets to what I learned in this life-changing interview.

My friends, there can no longer be any doubt about it. Humanity is going through the joys and pains of a great awakening. Revelations about what our ruling class has been doing behind the scenes are coming at us fast and furious. While many of us have long felt that the human race is vastly underperforming, we are now starting to understand why. Fortunately, we are also coming to terms with the fact that we have within us the power to do something about it.

The Commitment Club blog will examine some of the big events that are happening in the world, but fundamentally through the prism of how these events contribute to the awakening of humanity. For while there are players like Donald Trump and Elon Musk who appear to have a fair degree of power over the direction our world is going in, I fervently believe the way we live our lives—and the coherence of our individual thoughts, words and actions—is where the power to manage our destiny ultimately rests.

Friedrich Nietzsche, a philosopher I very much admired in my college days and even based my Masters thesis upon, was a great believer in the impact of great men on human history. In my mind—perhaps this is not a point of disagreement with Nietzsche—great men may have an influence on masses of people, but it is the (sometimes unconscious) choice of each individual to change their perception that actually drives human evolution.

My point is that anyone reading this has within them the power to help direct the future of humanity. Anyone who is dissatisfied with the state of the world—as managed by those powerful few that we have somehow given permission to rule us—need only live their own lives better, more authentically, in alignment with their own internal compass, if they are seeking to create positive change. When each of us plays our part in this epic drama on planet Earth, our entire civilization will move inexorably towards the world of our dreams.

The Commitment Club

This brings us to the formation of The Commitment Club, which has essentially been a small Saturday morning coffee shop meetup in Mississauga, Ontario. It was important to me that in-person conversations were at the heart of this project, as I firmly believe that small, intentional communities that meet in person will be the main driver of positive change in the world. Yes, The Commitment Club has arrived online with this blog post, and may eventually expand to other social media platforms and online meetings, but these efforts will be anchored by face-to-face, heart-to-heart conversations that allow for precious exchanges of positive energy and the felt experience of empathy, humility and love.

My personal mission in these coffee shop meetings is simple: fully support people who show up and want to improve the quality of their lives and the lives of others. For me, this involves bringing my curiosity for what each person is passionate about, and exploring ways they might fulfill that passion. If they themselves become clear on exactly what they need to do next, they will be gently encouraged to commit to those actions within a finite time frame. Any success they may have in their commitment to improving their life will likely inspire others to do the same. In this way, the group itself can grow in coherence, and may serve as a blueprint for slowly divesting our energy and attention away from the current ‘beast’ system and towards the kind of world we want to create.

With revelations coming out that our ruling class has not only been more deceitful than we thought, but they are actually engaged in activities more barbaric than we could have ever imagined, it is more important than ever that we have a place to get together and process this information with people we love and trust. These revelations will only get more intense, to the point where no one will be able to deny them or look the other way.

But I believe this is exactly the way things are meant to be, that our history flows between the concealing of truth and the revealing of it. Now, the more ready we become, the more that is revealed to us, until such time as the ultimate truth dawns on us: that we always had the freedom and the power to create exactly the kind of world we wanted to live in, we just didn’t know it.
